The:Thames Auction Mart reports: Fair supplies of poultry met a poor demand at last Saturday’s sales, and. values' were again easier. Fruit and vegetables were unchanged and smaller supplies of eggs were disposed of at late rates. Quotations: —
Poultry.—Hens, 2/- to 2/9; pullets (small), 2/6; roosters, 2/,., 6to , 3/-; , cockerels, 4/6; ducks, 2/- to i 2/6; chicks, 6d to lOd each. ’ . Fruit. —Apples (Stunners), 14/6; American, 17/6 to 19/6; oranges, 18/to 25/-; bananas, 24/6; gooseberries, 6/- to 8/-; plums (green), 1/6 to 2/6 per case. V /.
