Visitors to the Thames Rotary Club yesterday were Sir George Fowlds and Mr. John Shanly, of Auckland, and Mr. Donovan, of Wellington. Rev. R. B. Davison, of Thames, was a guest at the Auckland Rotary Club's luncheon yesterday. Officers of the Ngatea. Cricket Club have been elected as follows:—President, Mr. D. McAulay; vice-presidents, Messrs. W. Montgomery, G. Crock ford, C. S. Foster, H. Dent and E. L. Walton; secretary and treasurer, Mr. P. Foster; delegates to Hauraki Plains Association, Messrs. R. Cornthwaite and N. Boyne; committee, Messrs. J. Darlington, S. Phillips. R. Cbrnthwaite, N. Boyne, P. McCormick, W. O'Neil, and W. Chappell; selectors, Messrs. S. Phillips and N. Boyne; umpire, Mr. D. McAulay. Miss E. F. Kibblewhite, of Auckland has been awarded the Diploma of Horticulture. She is the first lady in New Zealand to gain this honour. Mother Mary Bertrand, the last of the band of pioneer Dominican Sisters who came to New Zealand 60 years ago and who established the Dominican Convent at Dunedin, celebrated the sixtieth year of her life as a nun to-day, says a Press Association wire. The celebrations included Pontifical High Mass, a garden fete, and a presentation which took the form, of a scholarship in her name, providing tuition in the convent for secondary pupils^
