REPORTS OF MANAGERS.

Luckv Shot.—The drive on the main reef off the low level crosscut has been extended 10ft. The reef is wider than the drive. The ore is heavily mineralised and shows colours of gold. The stope above the. No. 2 winze has been carried along.) for 45ft., and gold has been seen for the whcle of the distance. We have started rising for another stope.

Alburnia.—The drive north on the main Orlando 'lode from the crosscut at the winze has been extended 4ft., a total of 185 ft. The reef here averages 3ft. wide, and is. a strong, hea.vijy-m’ineralised body of stone carrying blend, antimony and silica. Dabs of gold are still seen in the ore. The country rock on lioth walls is of a splendid class for making gold, being interlaced with quartz stringers and mineral veins. No. 2 winze, on the banging wall branch of the Orlando lode, under No. 3 rise, has been sunk 4ft., a total of 7ft. The reef here is a strong body of stone 3ft. 6in. wide, carrying nice bright mineral blend and silica. Colours of gold are seen in the ore. On the crosscut east at the Whau level, a cross leader from the top of the rise has been driven 4ft. The leader here averages 6in. wide, and looks very well for making gold, as we are in a splendid class of country. The dropper, off the Sons of Freedom reef, from the east crosscut at the Whau level, has been driven 4ft. Thei reef here averages Bin., but is snlit up into stringers about 2in. wide. The quartz, where broken, looks very promising, and should make gold at any time.
