A HEAVY BILL.
FOR GOODS SUPPLIED
AT THE CHATHAM ISLANDS.

Mrs. May Santos, a former storekeeper of Waitangi, Chatham Islands, and wife of a Waitangi sheep farmer, is pursuing a claim in the Supreme Court for £926/4/2 from Piri Pomarev principally for goods supplied to his wire over a period of 20 years. The it is alleged, on the 16th May, 192/, admitted indebtedness in £7BO. On various grounds', including overcharging and that the debt includes liquor for his wife, the claim is now repudiated by defendant except for £42 odd on a judgment summons. The case is proceeding.
