FRAIL EVIDENCE PRESENTED.
(Bv Telegraph.—Press Association.) HAMILTON, Aug. 31.
Joseph N. J. Boss and Alfred Edward Nixon, both 22, were acquitted in the Supreme Court on a charge of breaking and entering and the theft of a table-knife and corkscrew, valued at 1/-- The alleged theft occurred at Taringamutu, near Taumarunui.
After hearing the evidence for the prosecution, Mr Justice Ostler in-
structed the jury that the evidence was too frail for a conviction.
