Air. A. N. (Snowy) Baker, of the money order branch of the' Thames Post Office, has received notice of his transfer to Wanganui and will leave on Alonday. Air. Fitzivater will take his plac-e.

Cr. D. Courtney, of Purirq was yesterday appointed representative of the Thames County on the Thames Hospital Board, in nlaee of the late Air. W. J. Hall. At the Trinity College of Music (London) examinations conducted in Te Arolia recently, Miss Marjorie Ritchie, of Tararu, and Aliss, Lilian Lambert, of Thames, passed with distinction in the Intermediate' Elocution division. Both are pupils of Mi so Kathleen P. Rapps.
