The average Napier resident finds it hard enough to leave the warmth and comfort of his hod on these mornings, when the atmospheric conditions arc so pronouncedly chilly, but there are still one or two spartans who survive the icy elements to take their ali-thc-year-roimd morning dip at the breakwater, whatever the weather conditions may be (says the Telegraph). The. admiration of those less hardy goes out to these zeolots, but these who are possessed of any desire to emulate their activities and sample the doubtful joy's to be gained by braving the chill of the Pacific in the early hours of the morning are few and far between.
