Mails for the undermentioned places will close at the Chief Post Office, - Thames, as under: Auckland, per serrice car, 7 a.m. Coromandel, per service car, 1 p.m. Whitianga (Thursdays only), per service car, 1 p.m. Australian States, South Africa, India, Ceylon, Egypt, Straits Settlements, China and Japan, connecting at Auckland with Makura, Tuesday, Aug. 13, 7 a.m. Great Britain, Ireland, Continent of Europe, Canada, United States of America, Mexico, and West Indies, via V Sah Francisco, also Cook Islands and Tahiti, connecting at Wellington with Maunganui, train, Monday, Aug. 12, 3.20 p.m. Great Britain, Ireland and Continent of Europe, also all South American States, connecting at Wellington with S.S. Kia Ora, Monday, Aug. 12, 3.20 p.m. Correspondence for Great Britain and Continent of Europe must be specially addressed per Kia Ora. Apia, Pago Pago and Nieue Islands, per Maui Pomare, Tuesday, Aug. 13, 7 a.m. D. BLACK, < Chief-Postmaster.
