Resolutions adopted at a recent meeting of the New Zealand League were placed before the Premier yesterday by a deputation headed by Mr P. J. O’Regan, National vice-presi-dent. The main point urged by the a fiat tax upon the unimproved value a aiTt tax upon the unimproved value of land to make up the deficit.
The Prime Minister said he would' give a written reply. He also said he would give the matters raised his closest consideration. There were certain matters that could not be put into operation at present, and he' was of the opinion that the League had quite a lot in front of it before it could hope to educate the public as to think as it ought.
