MECHANIC LOSES LICENCE.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Aug. 10.
Selwyn Theodore Ghstafson, a young garage mechanic, who drove a party of young people to a Hamilton dance in a car which did not belong to him, and who had two collisions, was sentenced by Mr Hunt, S.M., to three years’ probation and ordered to pay £SO damages to the motor-cars. Hig driving licence was cancelled for five years.
PROBATION FOR THEFT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) HAMILTON. Aug. 10. Vandrey Burton, aged 22, a motor mechanic of Hamilton, who pleaded guilty to the theft of £lo from a cash register at Johnstone’s' Confectionery, Rotorua, was admitted to probation for three vears.
