TO BE HELD TO-MORROW.

THE VARIOUS CANDIDATES.

AND POLLING PLACES. The County elections will l>e held tomorrow throughout New Zealand. In the counties surrounding Thames there are contests for some ridings while in the others there have l>een only the required number of nominations. The polls are open from 9 a.m. to G p.m. THAMES COUNTY. Polls will be taken in the following ridings:— Hastings Riding (one representative). The candidates are : McLOUGHLIN, E. J. McMAHON, J. F. The polling places are the Schoolhouse, Tapu, Mr. It. Hill's Hall, Puru, and the Thames County Chambers.

Puriri Riding (two representatives). The candidates are : COURTNEY, DANIEL. CRIBB .G. H. A. THOMAS, R. B. Mr. Cox withdrew from nomination

The polling places are the Matatoki Hall, the Puriri Hall, and the Thames County Chambers.

Hikutaia Riding (two representatives) The candidates are:—- » ALLEY, ALFRED. BRUNTON, WALTER. WINDER, C. AY. The polling places are Hikutaia Hall, Wharepoa Hall, Omahu Post Office, and the Tftames County Chambers.

Tairua Riding (one representative).

The candidates are:— CORY-WRIGHT, H. A. PBESCOTT. J. H. The polling places are Tairua Post Office, Hikuai Public Hall, Public Works shed, Whangamata, and the Thames County Chambers. Waiomo Reserve. There will also be a-poll taken over the whole County on the proposal to contribute a sum not exceeding £3OO towards the purchase by the Thames Borough of an area at Waiomo of 3g acres. The polling-places are as previously mentioned with the addition of the Kopu Hall.

HAURAKI PLAINS COUNTY. Only two elections will be held in tho Hauraki Plains County, those being:— Patetonga Riding (one representative) The candidates are : MAYN, J. F. PHILLIPS, WALTER. Horahia Riding (one representative) The candidates are : HICKS H. H. McDIJFF, WILLIAM. The polling places are Patetonga Hall, Mr. Louch's residence at Horahia, and Davis' Store at Kaihere.

COROMANDEL COUNTY.

A fair amount of interest is being displayed in the elections for Coromandel County.

Coromandel Riding (3 representatives') There are eight candidates: Robert Campbell, W. C. Denize, M. Gorrie, P. S. R. Home, C. W. Hovell, H. W. Howell, S. James, and E. J. McLoughlin. The nolling places are- Coromandel Drill Hall, Post Office,' Driving Creek, Kerita. School, Goudie's Hall, Colville, and Courthouse, Mercury Bay.

Colville Riding (two representatives) The candidates are: A. J. Denize, Charles Geard and H. T. Johnson.

The polling places are: Goudie's Hall, Colville, Mr, Florance's residence, Port Charles Mrs. Johnson's residence, Cape Colville, McCall's Store, Amodeo Bay, Harataunga Hall, Kennedy Bay, Drill Hall, Coromandel.

Whitianga Riding (one representative)

The candidates are William Lee and N. A. Wells, and the polling places. Courthouse, Mercury Bay, and Drill Hall, Coromandel.

Hospital Board (8 representatives) The following nine have been nominated for the Coromandel Hospital Board: Robert Campbell, E. G. Denize, W. C. Denize, W. J. Gamble, A. G. Harvey, Elizabeth Hovell, S. James, E. F. Reynolds, Alma Woodhouse.

The polling places are as before mentioned with the addition of Tererenga School, Kuaotunu Library, Coroglen School and Whenuakite School.
