APPRENTICES’ ACT.
HOPE FOR AMENDMENT. AN IMPORTANT CONFERENCE. (Bv Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, March 19. An important conference has been called by tho Government to consider questions affecting apprentices. it will be held at Wellington, commencing on April 23 and will be composed of representatives of the various apprenticeship committees throughout New Zealand. It is hoped as a result to place before the Government concrete proposals for the amendment of the Apprentices Act. In addition to the representatives of committees it is hoped to have the assistance of five representatives of the employers and five of the employees.-
