DEATH OF A DOCTOR.
HE PRICKED HIS FINGER

News has been received of the death in England of Dr E. S. Molyneux, brother of the Bishop of Melanesia, folowing an operation that he performed in a hopeess case of gas gangrene at Warnford Hospital, Warwickshire. After removing his surgical gloves he found he had pricked his first finger of his left hand. He used an antiseptic and also an injection, but without avail. Birmingham specialists were called into consultation and everything possible was done to save their colleague, but Dr Molyneux died from blood-poisoning on July 16. He was 48 years of age.
