MISS D. BEATTY ENTERTAINED.

“Many happy returns of the day” was heard on all sides last evening when after the usual choir practice the members of St. George’s Choir assembled in the schoolroom to greet Miss Doris Beattv on her hirtltdav.

A dainty supper was provided, an iced cake decorated with twenty-one candles holding the place of honour on the table. After the candles bad been blown out by Miss Beatty according to custom the Rev. Robertshawe voiced the good wishes of the Choir and presented her with a small gift cup, sapeer and plate—as a tangible mark *

of their esteem, and all joined in singing ‘‘.For She’s a Jolly Good Fellow.” -Miss Beattv suitably replied and every one fell to and did", full justiceto the good things displayed.
