ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
KILLED BY A STALLION. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) BLENHEIM, May 22. ■f- Gordon William Shirtliff (23J, the only son o£ J. \V. Shirtlift', of Muller Bun, about 70 miles from Blenheim, was attacked by a stallion on the station'yesterday. He sustained fearful injuries, resulting- in his death while being brought to Blenheim. The same stallion attacked the deceased a year ago, when he sustained a broken leg.
A YOUTH DROWNED

morning the auxiliary schooner Te
Aroha collided with and sank a Ashling launch, owned by G. A. Thompson. On© of the three occupants, a youth named Galey, was drowned.
