AMUSING COMEDY.

COMMONS COUNTED OUT. AN ADJOURNMENT.. _^ As the result of an amusing comedy the House of Commons was recently counted ©ut. Sir Charles Falls (Ulster Unionist, Fermanagh and Tyrone), taking the first opportunity in 19 years of submitting- «x private member's motion, moved complaining of the treatment of invalided naval men. The attendance in the House was very small, and the Labour members two or three times drew attention to this, but the quorum of 40 was always found. Later, however, a Unionist member drew attention to the state of the House, and the bells were rung. Only 30 were then present, Labour members absenting themselves deliberately, imagining that the count out

would only entail an adjournment until evening, when Mr Mosley intended to move a resolution with the object of recommending the Labour Party's 'finance policy. Labour members'were surprised, and Ministerialists chuckled when it was learned that the count out entailed, an adjournment until the next day.
