CONDENSED TELEGRAMS.
The municipal conference opened at Nelson yesterday a large number of delegates were present from all parts of New Zealand. A civic welcome was accorded the delegates by the Mayor of Nelson, Mr. W. J. Moffatt. The trawler James Cosgrove arrived this morning. The officers state there was no ground whatever for the. reports that she was in distress, lhe probable explanation was that residents were unfamiliar with trawling and' mistook the fact that the ship was doing so for a breakdown.
