The indications are for westerly winds, moderate to strong freshening, and veering by west to north. Expect warm and humid conditions. Increasing haze and cloudiness for change. Barometer falling. Mr. Petersen, who was in Thames on Saturday arranging for regular trips to Auckland from Thames per medium of his new ’bus, met with an accident on the Plains yesterday. Through some means, his ’bus got into a drain and was capsized, severely injuring the body of the ’bus. This will delay the service for some weeks.
