In the report on the recent sale of work at St. George’s, the names of Mrs. Chris Johnston and Mrs. Stewart, who were in charge of the Christmas trees, were inadvertently omitted; also the name of Mrs. Willis, who was assisting in the Guild stall.
The annual matriculation examination in connection with the University of New Zealand is being conducted in St. James’ Hall under the supervision of the Rev. W. E. Lambert and Miss Gibson. Thirty-nine candidates have entered for the examination. Eleven of that number are completing, having already obtained partial, passes. Four are taking a paper in special mathematics. Nearly all the candidates are pupils or ex-pupils from our local High School.
