THIEF CAUGHT AT AUCKLAND. (By Telegraph. —Press Association.) AUCKLAND, May 31. Albert Foster Smith, aged 21. described by Detective Cummings as a •professional thief, was charged at the Police Court with theft of chemists’ samples, also money from the coat of a fellow-boarder at one' of the leading hotels, and a camera from the railway station.
He was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment on each of the two charges, the sentences to be cumulative, and to one year’s reformative
