ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
PRINTER FOUND SHOT
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, March 12. Thomas Cureton Hatton, head of a well-known Lyttelton firm of printers, was found dead on Wednesday evening at Governor's Bay, with a wound in his head and a rifle lying alongside the body. The police believe that he accidentally shot himself while getting over a fence.
SWALLOWED CAUSTIC. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WAIHI, March 12. A native child of 2£ years, named Tahura, whose parents reside at Waikino, died on Wednesday evening as the result of swallowing csome austic soda.
Th\ Short was called in, but found the child beyond his aid.
