MINING.
ALBURNIA. The manager telegraphed his principals on Saturday as follows: —Have met the face. Will have level cleaned out and timbered by Wednesday next. He also reports that work is now in virgin country abreast of where rich patches were obtained previously. The suggestion is now to continue hillward on this reef, as the prospects, so far as can be seen, warrants this. In the event of values not being met in this reef, it is proposed to drive north. This will again come into virgin country, and close to where very rich gold was got in the Sons of . Freedom, Dixon’s and Dixon’s Reefs systems.
