OPENS RAILWAY INSTITUTE.

The Hon. J. G. Coates paid a short visit to Hamilton yesterday, and opened the Railway Institute erected by the employees of the Franktoa House Factory. He was welcomed to the electorate by. Mr. J. A. Young, M.P., and other speakers. The Prime Minister congratulated the employees upon their enterprise and the co-operation shown between the controlling and working staffs in the erection of the building. Only by team work could these results be attained. Good bosses made good men, and a good understanding between them produced good results. He could not please everybody, and was not going to try, but he wanted the worekrs in the department to feel happy and contented. He desired the close co-operation between all sections, and they could make the departingnv successful by pulling together. He would like to see the same spirit which ivas -responsible for the erection of the Institute permeate tho department from the youngest member of the working staff to the highest of the executive heads. The Prime Minister was cordially received, and left later for Te Aroha, where he delivered a short speech. He then visited To Awamutu and Cambridge.

AT TE AWAMUTU. VOTE OF CONFIDENCE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) TE AWAMUTU. Oct. 24. The Prime Minister was greeted by .0, large and enthusiastic audience at Te Awamutu last night, to whom he delivered a vigorous campaign address. He was accorded an enthusiastic vote of thanks, and confidence in hjs administration. In the course of his address, Mr Coates announced that Te Awamutu would be included in the scheduled stopping places on the Main Trunk daylight express, in addition to those already announced.
