BAD LANGUAGE ON TRAIN.

To eight Fijians in a carriage, who were goinf to the Dunedin Exhibition, accuset used filthy language questioning theii legitimacy. A European passengei was also subjected to accused’s insulting remarks. Accused had two bottle: of whisky in his possession. Thert were no women or children in th< carriage. The guard reported accuser to the police mi the train arriving ai Frankton. For using obscene language accuset was fined £lO and ordered to pav witnesses’ expenses, totalling £l/8// Plummer was convicted and discharged on a charge of behaving in a violen and offensive manner towards passen gers.
