IDLE AND DISORDERLY.
TWO FEAR’S PROBATION. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) MORRINSVILLE, Feb. 26. Last August a youth named John Munro appeared before the Morrinaville Court for being “an idle and disorderly person.” He had been sleeping in a whare, and garthering bottles to buy sufficient food for himself. Sentence was deferred on the condition of employment being found for him, a farmer named Peter Brewin offering this. Before Mr J. H. Salmon, S.M.. yesterday, Munro was charged with sending through the post to Peter Brewin an indecent document, to wit, % letter. Tt was explained that accused had left Brewin’s employ and was now engaged as a porter at Rotorua. Accused sent the letter referred fo after leaving Brewin’s place. His Worship remarked tha tfor writing such a filthy document accused was liable to three months’ improsonment. He was convicted and admitted to probation for two years.
