BRISBANE ELECTIONS.
LABOUR BADLY DEFEATED. UNITED PARTY SUCCESSFUL. (A. and N.Z. Cable.) BRISBANE, Feb. 23. The election of an Alderman for Greater Brisbane Council resulted in a sweeping win for the United Party candidate, Labour being badly defeated. In the contest for the Mayoralty, W. A. Jotly, of the United Party, defeated the Labour candidate by over 18,000 votes.
