The Cunard liner Berengaria has now been fitted with a complete Sperry gyrocompass system. The apparatus consists of the master compass—which was been installed in a small compartment in the wheelhouse—and four repeaters, also a 30-day course recorder, all of which are situated on the bridge. Another repeater has been installed in the wireless room, and operates in conjunction with the Marconi direction finder.
