BURGLARS FRUSTRATED.

BY A NIGHT WATCHMAN. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Setft. 29. A burglary that would have resulted in heavy loss was frustrated by a nightwatchman who, noticing the doors of Schniederman’s factory, in Cable Street, were open at 11.45 p.m., entered and disturbed the burglars at work. They had broken through the windows and doors, doing much damage, and had piled about £IOOO worth of rolls of cloth by the lift, and were evidently waiting for a confederate to arrive with a vehicle.

The watchman summoned the police, but the robbers got away, leaving a jemmy behind.
