.MISS MAMIE CORELLI
CONDON, April, 21. The death in reported of Miss Marie Corelli, the famous authoress. Miss Corellie died in her sleep from heart failure.
NEW YORK, April, 21. The death is announced at Pittsburg of El Onora Duse.
A THAMES PIONEER
The death of Mrs AY. Waddell, Kara ka, Creek, at the age of 87 years, removes one of the early residents at Thames. Deceased arrived in Auckland in the ship Helenslee in 1805 with her first husband. Mr A. Law, who died shortly afterwards. Later site married Mr W. Waddell, whose death occurred six years' ago. Mr and Mrs Waddell were early rsidents at Thames Mrs Waddell was a good nurse, and her services were given freely in the days when there were practically no professional nurses. She had a wide circle of friends, and was much esteemed. Deceased is survived hv two sons and four dauglitrs. There are also 42 grandchildren and great-grandchildren
