GOLF CLUB.

The following is the draw for partners of those who are qualified for the senior and junior championships last Saturday week. ■Seniors: —E. J. Clendon plays S. Miller; C. Poulgrain plays.G. Shaw; Cf. Clark plays H. H. Marshall; H. Purnell plays H. Lindsay. Juniors: —F. Hetherington plays B. Franklin; S. -Judd plays Dr. Liggins; C. A.Berry plays W. B. Teasdale. The last named players have a bye in the first round. The first round must be played on or before the 29th of September 1923. THE SHAW TROPHY. A trophy presented by Mr. G. Shaw will be played for on Saturday afternoon next, the 15 inst. The match will take the form of a Medal Handicap with this important condition attached —no lift for any fence or hoof-work. Some nice large scores should result. The following is the draw for places : E. J. Clendon v. Dr. Liggins, C. Poulgrain v. W. H. Hoult; H. H. Marshall v . W. B. Teasdale; H, Purnell v. F. Hetherington; W. Price v. B. Franklyn; G. ShaAv v. S. Judd; G. Clark v. C. A. Berry; A Dodd v. H. Lindsay; G. McLean v. S. A. Hetherington; S. Miller v. L. T. Petersen. Those unable to play, will notify the Secretary. PRESIDENT’S CUP. In reference to this competition, the second round of which was played on Saturday last, the following is the position of players for the first two rounds. —A Dodd, 82-80; 162; 11. Purnell 83-79; 162; Baker, 88-77; 165; G. Clark, 88-83; 163; C. A. Berry, 90-78; 168. A very close and interesting conculusion to this match is anticipated.
