BRITISH AND FOREIGN BIBLE SOCIETY.
REPORT OF MEETING. The annual meeting of the Thames Auxiliary was held in the Mackay Street Schoolroom of the Methodist Church on Monday evening. Mr. W. Dauby, President of the Auxiliary, was in the chair. An apology for absence was received from the Rev. Mr. Beck.
The treasurer, Mr. E. Brown, submitted the balance sheet which showed that £65 2s 3d had been collected during the year. This brings the total amount collected for the Society during the eleven years since the re-organisation of the Auxiliary to £513 13s Id. The treasurer was therefore instructed to forward the sum of £6O to the Bible House in Wellington.
An executive, consisting of the Ministers of the Thames Churches, the collectors for the Society, with Mr. W. Danby as president, Mr. E. Brown, honorary treasurer, and Mr. Wayne honorary secretary, was elected.
Votes of thanks were passed to the collectors, the office bearers, and to Dr. and Mrs. Derrick for their kind hospitality to visiting delegates.
