CONSIDERABLE SHORTAGE. CA. and N.Z. Cable.) BRISBANE, July 24. The sugar crop for 1923 is estimated to be 240,000 tons, which, with the' New South Wales cane and iVictorian beet makes a total of 258,000 tons for Australia. The Queensland crop in 1922 was 288,000.
