HAMILTON MEETING. (Press Association.) HAMILTON, Feb. 16. The weather the second day of the Hamilton meeting was very hot and oppressive. As on the first day, a surprise turned up in. the first event, St. Waipa returning his supporters a substantial dividend. The riding of several of the boys at the meeting was not good, and the stipendiary - steward, Mr. Wilson, had one or two of the worst offenders before him. The following are the additional results of the concluding day’s racing : * Taupiri Hack Handicap. --Fort Regal (8.8) 1, Wrangle (8.1) 2, Election (7.3) 3. Scratched: Sunny Jim," Menance, Just Quietly. Won by a head, with Election 2£ lengths away. To Kowhai Welter.—Some Fashion (9.2) 1, Prince Carl (8.0) % Forest Gold (9.12) 3. Scratched: .Callaghan. Won by three-quarters of a length. Time: 1.55. Kirikiriroa Handicap.— Tam a-a roa (8.7) 1, Queen Abbey (7.2) 2, Royal Blood?(G.7) 3. Won by a head Time : 1 13 2 5. Tauwhai’o Hack Handicap. —Fontcgram (7.0) 1, Sunny Jim (9.5) 2, Gold Bud (7.7) 3. Won by [two lengths. Time: 1.41 3-5. The totalisator handled £38,249 10s.
