RADIUM.
AND LONG LIFE. Addressing a convention of therapeutists at Chicago, Dr. Stillman Bailey declared that radium taken internally prolongs human life to an extraordinary degree. A study of the men working in the radium mines in Colorado, according bo Dr. Bailey, showed they were all immune from ailments such, as Influenza, rheumatism, gout, and neuritis, and all appeared to be rejuvenated merely by drinking waW charged with radium. Dr. Bailey personally had dispensed thousands of tablets of sugar and milk into which radium had been introduced, and they have "worked miru.cle*(." "A veritable fairyland of science stands revealed," Dr. Bailey said. "The possibilities of radium are still undreamed of." Radium tablets, he asserted, prevented hardening of tho arteries, acute pains under the influence of the mineral disappear as if by magic, and the debility characteristic of old ago vanishes. Dr. Bailey declared that radium had proved to be a wonderful tonic and blood remedy. Small doses make jaded appetites keen, and increased the red corpuscles by 250,000 within 48 hours.
