LADY JELLICOE'S INTERESj ' - -■ • (Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Dec; 28; Viscountess Jellicoe has* leased, for racing purposes, two yearling sons of Boniform from the Waikanae sfcud. One is from Prelude, the "dam of Peromlla (Welcome Stakes winner). It will be trained at Trentham by T. F. Quinlivan. The other is from Peace, and therefore a full brother to Prosperity (McLean Stakes winner). It will also be trained at Trentham, but by Hugh Telford. NOTES. J. Winder went up to Auckland yesterday with Bright Day, a tWo-year-old colt by Day Comet—Gwendoline. He is a fine upstanding chestnut in good condition and looking very well. The trip .is being made chiefly for educational purposes.»'- • ' ' ■J. Dufty leaves for Auckland, tomorrow with Prince Charlerdi. The Tuaranga Cup winner is in good nick .and his mentor hopes to land a stake. At the local course there have been only exeercise gallops in which the horses moved well. Kaiareta who cut herself on the wire at Te Aroha, is being given gentle exercise again. The evergreen Miss Leslie, now owifed by a Thames syndicate, is back in. work and looks well. / Stirrup Cup, a hurdler trained by J. Dufty, changed hands at £SOO and is considered a cheap horse at the price. „, / . V The course this week has been lively in the mornings with the various strings . The plough and the course are in excellent condition.
