(From Our Travelling Reporter.) NEW POSf OFFICE. The settlers in this district ai*e pleased to note that the KalSfrngahake post and telegraph office is to be dismantled arid re-erected at Hikutaia. The need for a more commodious office has long been evident. BILLIARDS. The of the Hikutaia billiard tournament has been completed. The games were 250 up. The concluding results are: —W. Morrison won from Haki by default; J. Corbett beat J. Oliverj W. McKay beat J. Oliver; S. Hira defeated P. Corbett by 14 points.,. TIDES. Exceptionally high .tides have been noticed at Wharepoa during the past three days. METAL. To date some 230 yards of metal have been crushed at the Hikutaia quarry since work recommenced about six weeks ago. The Ohinemuri County Council has purchased the whole of this amount. Some councillors declare this to be easily the best metal ever placed on the roads in the Ohinemuri County.
