Spurred by the large prices obtained last year, potSato growers planted heavily for the present season with tEe lesult that, considerable areas at Crookwell and in other districts have been left undug, and are rotting in the ground or in the sheds. Tasmanian and Victorian tubers are pouring into Sydney, and the prices ruling are insufficient to leave, a margin of profit after digging and marketing charges hav* been met.
