MAGISTERIAL.

(Before M. J. H. Salmon, S.M.) CLAIM FOR BOARD. A claim for fi £4o 2/3, being board and residence, was brought by Mrs Fitzsimmons, of Hbpai (Mr Bryan), against James C. Parsons (Mr Clendon), before Mr J. H. Salmon, S.M., this morning. Evidence was given by Olive B. Fitzsimmons who said that defendant stayed at her place first for meals, •and then for board. He commenced to board from January 12, and with the exception of occasional breaks, when he was baching, and at the hospital, he was there until August. It was not correct that he had provided meat or groceries for the house or that he was a guest there. Witness had rendered an account to him but had not been paid. James G.j Parsons said that the statement put in that he owed £2B 14/11 was correct. That was the only amount he owed. He left early in May and went baching.. He was baching up to three weeks before they went away, when he went to their home at their invitatiom. During that period he had. some of the items put in his name from the store. Witness got no account - beyond the one claiming £26 19/3. He only owed £2B 14/11. • Judgment was entered for plaintiff for the amount claimed and costs £7 15/3. '
