ENRICO CARUSO. (A. and N.Z. Cable.) - (Received 8.40 a.m.) ROME, August 2. The death is reported of Signor at Naples.
Enrico Caruso, by many acclaimed as the greatest tenor the world has ever known, was born in Naples on February 25, 1873. He had no special musical education, and his voice was discovered by chance.. As a dramatic tenor, he has been un -. rivalled for many years. A few. years ago he married an - American lady. He was a. member of. the Victorian Order! -
