SWEET LATHER FOR WHIPPED CREAM. BERLIN—The German public received a shock on learning that they" had been eating soapsuds when they thought they were eating whipped cream. This knowledge resulted from an order issued by the Food .Ministry forbidding "Ersatz" whipped cream to be made from soap, jam and svgar ■ wiithout the Ministry's special permission. Permission to make "Ersatz" whipped cream will not be given while the only materials for its manufacture are such unsuitable substances as shaving soap, and such scarce raw materials- as sugar and gelatine.
