Tho secretory «tf the Thames Bugby League has been advised that the Thames Old Boys intend holding their annual excursion to Thames on Friday.
August 24, and playing a series of matches on the Saturday. There will be four teams making the , trip, viz., Ponsonby, Grafton, and two teams of Thames Old Boys. With the kind permission of the Thames Hockey Association Dodd's paddock has been secured for the use of the visiting players, and as all v the teams mentioned held very high places in the Auckland Rugby League's championship, a good exhibition of football under Northern Union rules can be expected. sulfe of the visit of these teams last year a. fair amount was 'handed to the Thames Women's Patriotic League for tho Christmas billy fund, and it ia hoped this ye<ar also to assist this fund by donating «-i.ny surplus .takings.
