WHAT ADVERTISING DID

GREAT INSURANCE BUSINESS BUILT IN THREE WEEKS.

A yasifc insurance business, involving millions of money, built up in three weeks by judicious advertising and bard work! That v the proud record of the Eagle and British Dominions Insurance Uompanies. The cause of it all was the conception of the notion that life insurance and investment in the great Thousand Million War Loan could be combined. The idea appealed to the popular imagination. • Advertising and the public did the jrest. In the ensuing three weeks 1,500,000 prospectuses were issued, 100,000 inquiries were answered, 100,000 insurance agents had prospectuses despatched to them. Ten thousand reports from doctors were received. On the closing day of the great Loan over one thousand telegraphic applications for stock were received. The result of this three weeks of mental and physical labour was the building up of a business thalt most insurance men would regard as an adequate reward for half a century of offort.
