A DTeetaig 1 of the German Colonial Society under the presidency of Duke Jolwmn Albrecht of Mecklenburg, earned resolutions declaring, that/ Germany'.s influence at sea must be guaranteed. Germany must have sin outlet ocean-ward, and Germany's ■oversea possessions must be enlarged with due consideration for an oversea basis. The society repudiated the idea of abandoning: the overseas colonies, and; demanded the safe puardinp of Germany's interests in East Asia—A. and N.Z. and Reuter.
