On Saturday last four Auckland | League teams journeyed to Thames and played matches at Dodd's 'paddock. Despite the bleak weather, a large crowd assembled, and they were reAvarded Avith a good exhibition of I the League game, especially so in the j match Thames Old Boys and Richmond Rovers. The first two teams to take the field Avero City and Graf ton. The match was very even, although the play was by no means first class.
