They had not been engaged very long,, and so( were quite happy so long as they could be together. One afternoon they were sitting on. a scat, in the centre of'a picture gallery. She, admired the pictures immensely; lie'admired her more still, so both were happy. "Oh." she cooed suddenly, "what a beautiful picture! Do look!" "Yes, ripping!" he murimvred. "What is it about?" "Why, surely you can sec? The man j has just asked her to marry him, and she lias said "Yes." Sweet, I call it, Do go and'see what name the artist has gJ*-en to it." He arose to do his lady's bidding, and went over to the picture. ''Perfectly disgusting!!" he grunted. ' "Why. dear?" "Why. the artist fellow has called it 'Sold'!"
