Mr W>. J. Adams (mine manager) reports: Intermediate level: Operations during the week have been directed principally to taking along' a short stope north and south of rise to make room for the timber, of which four sets are now placed in position. The total distance of the stope taken along 1, from the hangingwall of the main-reef is about 40ft and a heiirht of 2ft 6in. The leader
'has been stripped for the whole distance, but yery little quartz was broken down, with the exception of a few feet on the northern end, which showed some nice dabs of free gold and telluride. I am in hopes that "by the end of the week 1 to have the drive all timbered up and every tiling; in a fair way to start stoping1.
