The suspicion created by the prolonged absence o( the chief clerk «f the Wniroa Stores, Limited, led to an examination of the books, 'when defalaw tions to the amount of several hundred pounds . are alleged to have been discovered.
A warrant has been issued for the ar-
rest of tne absentee, who is supposed to have left the Dominion.
