When the first projection of films takes' place at the Oddfellows' Hall on.Monday night next ,it is confidently anticipated that the lights will ba turned; low on-, a packed audience, so insistent has been the demand of Shortlandi Besi&ents for a place of entertainment, and so great hasbeen the interest displayed in Messrs Silcock's, Warner's, and Kelly's new venture. Theso three gentlemen form the Thames Picture Company, who will from Monday place before their patrons only the best films procurable, The hall has been wonderfully improved, and . now* contains comfortable- seating accommodation. By. the installation of the maw chine outside, the hall should! be remarkably free from undue heat.
Monday's programme is headed by a Nordisk exclusive "His Lost Memory,* which ranks as one of the- best dramas of to-day. The remainder of the series is as advertises, while musical' items will be given by the. proprietors, whose appearance will be by no means the first on a public platform ■ Seats may ba booked at* Silcock's shop, opposite the hall.
