At the drill hall. Albert. St., last night, Colonel Logan, officer com,niandingi the Auckland defence district, officially inspected the local territorials and senior cadets. There w,as a. farly good muster of territorials and a good attendance of the senior cadets1. Captain. Sharid vas_ in charge of the parade. Colonel Logan, \vho> was accompanied by Captain Morton, officer in charge of the area in which Thames: in included, was received in the customary manner, a, general salute being given, by all ranks present. Hb then inspected the territorials and senior cadets and expressed asi -well saitisifited with their smart appearance. Sergeant Major Tingey then; put -the senior cadets through an exhibition; of physical drill, the lads doing splendid work and receiving high praise from the colonel, who at the conclusion of the exhibition! said, "Well done, Sergeant,. Major." The territorials were then given the mianu&l exercise! and. also exercised in company : movemientsi, after being1 st>lit up mi sections and instructed by their, non-commissioned officers, who did their work well.
