DEATH OF MR. H. KENDALL.
SIUOGUMBS SUDDENLY AT HOSPITAL/.
Th* many friends of Mr Henry Kendall, the well known mine manager, will regret to learn of his death, which occurred at the Thames Hospital this morning. Somte time bactk Mr Kendall Was attacked by a paralytia stroke si-ndi a second ono oocuiring a few weeks back it was deemiad advisable Jj remove him to the Thames hospital. In that institution he appeared to be making satisfactory progress and on Sunday was most cheerful and hopeful. This morning, however, he suffered a relapse after breaikfaat, and another (the third) seizure attacking him he passed away quite suddenly. The deceased gentleman was well and favourably known throughout the district. He had been closely identified with the mining industry for a long period and wlais mia-nager of the Alburnia and Moanataiari, including Moanataiari* low level crosscut, for many years. The deceased gentleman was boa-li in Liscaard, Cornwall, in 1848 and Was therefore 64 years of age. He came to New Zealand 35
years ago, arriving at Thames in the year 1877, and he resided here until his death. He leaves ai widow and family of grown up sons and daughters and a large circle of friends to mourn their loss. In Mr Kendall's death the district has lost a good citizen and the family a loving husband and father.
